Kemercountry 13

Kemercountry 13 is the interior transformation of a 325 m² detached house located in a gated community in Göktürk, Istanbul. Designed and delivered by ODA Creative + Architecture, the project undertakes a full-scale interior renovation—from restructuring spatial flows to redefining material expression and detailing.

The original compartmentalised layout was reimagined as a light-filled, interconnected sequence of rooms. Shared spaces—kitchen, dining, and living—were reorganised along a clear axis, ensuring visual continuity across the ground floor. The kitchen combines soft sage cabinetry, brass hardware, and marble worktops, paired with a central oak island that anchors the space. In the bathrooms, floating oak vanities, integrated lighting, and matte black fixtures establish a contemporary balance of warmth and precision.

Living spaces adopt a more classical proportion, with arched built-ins flanking the fireplace and herringbone oak flooring reinforcing a sense of rhythm and permanence. Large-format glazing frames the garden, drawing daylight deep into the interiors. Circulation areas, including the staircase, were kept deliberately minimal—white slatted balustrades and oak treads articulating the transition between levels.

Custom millwork was developed with Şişman Carpentry to ensure full integration of storage, joinery, and wall systems. Every component—cabinet modules, shelving divisions, and door profiles—was dimensioned to align with architectural geometries. Mechanical and electrical systems were coordinated early with Zara Engineering and Değer Construction Company, enabling concealed services and trimless detailing throughout.

Kemercountry 13 is not defined by surface finishes alone, but by coherence between design and execution. It is a residence where material restraint, crafted details, and spatial clarity come together—offering its occupants a setting shaped for longevity, quiet elegance, and everyday use.
