Şişli, Istanbul

33,5m2

Juliet Bar is an intimate neighbourhood venue in Şişli, designed as a balance between warmth and refinement. Led by ODA Creative + Architecture, the project reimagines a compact interior through a precise orchestration of colour, material, and atmosphere.

The design centres on the bar itself, conceived as both a functional core and a visual anchor. A textured pink hexagonal surface wraps the counter, complemented by smoked granite tops and natural oak stools. Shelving behind the bar is detailed as a layered display—illuminated timber frames and brass accents that highlight bottles and glassware with a subtle rhythm.

Lighting plays a central role: bold red cubic pendants set a playful yet controlled tone, casting warm light across muted plaster walls and ribbed black panelling. Seating varies between low bar stools and upholstered chairs in deep red tones, creating different ways of inhabiting the space while maintaining a consistent palette.

The spatial logic prioritises clarity and flow. Circulation remains open around the bar, while reflective glass partitions extend the sense of depth within the compact footprint. Every surface, from matte textures to tactile fabrics, is calibrated to enhance intimacy without excess.

Juliet Bar is not designed as a spectacle, but as a carefully tuned environment—where material consistency, measured gestures, and bold accents come together to create a place for both everyday gatherings and evening rituals.
